EELBĀ 423. Mathematics Curriculum and Pedagogy. 4 Units.

Prerequisites: admission to the Multiple Subject Credential Program and completion of all Phase I courses
Introductory course in curriculum and instruction in mathematics. Emphasis on implementing state adopted mathematics curriculum standards and skills in an elementary classroom based on an in depth understanding of concepts, skills, and strategies in mathematics. Includes designing instruction to meet the academic needs of all learners in a diverse classroom including English learners and learners with special needs. Formerly EELB 441. May be taken concurrently with EELB 423, EELB 425 and EELB 520C and either EELB 540A or EELB 560A. If not taken concurrently with EELB 520C and either EELB 540A or EELB 560A, then six hours of fieldwork will be required.
